A lot of my art work of my first year painting is displayed in November 2019 in the shop window of Wépé dental hygienist, Kanaalstraat 102 Lisse, the Netherlands. This was made possible by Joost Streppel, who brought my attention to the location and Henk Arts and his wife, who donated their spot to new artists!
This was very exciting because this was the first time I had the opportunity to decorate a shop window. I had enough paintings to fill the 4-meter-long window but how could I display them without making it look messy.
I decided to order two white decoration stepladders to put some of my small works on and I asked Henk how much hooks there were, so I could hang a lot of the paintings on the wall. In photoshop, I made a layout of where I wanted the paintings to be. I ordered some cardholders and easels for display. I wrote a couple lines about me and my art to introduce myself and I made nice cardboard price tags. Not to notable but readable so if anybody was interested they could see the price. All my paintings were wrapped in bubbleplastic for transport and I had packed them in order of placement so the decoration went smoothly. It was a very small area for my butt to turn (Dutch saying 😉 ) so I didn’t wanted to make a chaotic mess there behind the window. Everything worked out as planned ! Sometimes I feel I overthink to much but in the end I am glad I organised it all so well so no unexpected drama’s happend!
Second exhibition is already planned!!
I’ve been asked to exhibit my work in Noordwijkerhout at city Hall / library. This exhibition will be from 16th of December 2019 till the 7th of February 2020. There will be a publication about my expo in their newspaper!!
